Ice Age Adventures

Ice Age Adventures is a sequel to the hit Ice Age Village game, which featured some of the top characters from the Ice Age series of films. This newer game appeals to both younger and older fans of those films.

The game lets you play as Sid, one of the most adorable characters from that series. Sid learns that there are animals living nearby that need his help and set off to help them. Ice Age Village was a simple game that let you build you own village in that fictional world and unlock new characters from the films. Ice Age Adventures includes elements of that original game. While you can build homes and create a village, you'll need to complete other challenges to get building supplies.

Once you find a new group of animals in peril, you must play a mini game before you can take the herd back to your village. Match three games are among the more popular games. You'll need to match three items in a row and score a certain number of points before you can advance. Once you complete your mission, you can grab that herd and head back home. There is also a sledding game that lets you score points for sledding for a longer period of time and avoiding obstacles on the mountain.

Ice Age Adventures also lets you explore each of the islands that you find. As you find new hidden objects and play games on the island, the game will tell you how close you are to completing it. Once you find all items, you'll unlock a new character from the film. Unlocking Manny and Diego will help you reach other islands and get by larger obstacles. The game also requires that you take each herd back to your home island, build them homes, find them food, and take care of them.

Though Ice Age Adventures brings in some new elements to the original game, you'll still find that you spend a lot of time waiting for crops to grow or construction to finish on your houses. That waiting can feel irritating. While you can get through the game faster with coins, you'll need to purchase those coins with real money. If you love the film's characters and don't mind the wait times, you'll find that Ice Age Adventures is a fun and engaging game.
